A Half-Film, Half-Live Show

It is a live show with a film projected on a giant screen: Farinelli appears both on stage and in the film. The music sung by Farinelli on stage is integrated into the story.

Other actors and extras take part in the story through the film projected on the giant screen, interacting with the stage. The film on the giant screen serves as the set.

At our premiere on December 9th, the show will be performed in French.

MAIN CAST

Farinelli : Dennis Orellana

Originally from Honduras, Dennis Orellana lives in Madrid… well, when he’s not on a plane or performing on stages around the world.

Dennis Orellana is an international opera singer with a meteoric career.

Accustomed to singing in the classical repertoire, he agreed to embark on this new adventure and portray a modern-day Farinelli.

The icing on the cake: close your eyes while listening to Dennis Orellana, and you might think a woman is singing! He is what is called a sopranist: a sopranist sings like a female soprano, hence the term sopranist for men.

This is why Dennis Orellana was perfect for the role of Farinelli, who himself knew how to reach the impossible heights of notes in his time.

And as if by fate, just two weeks before donning his costume for the filming of our show, Dennis Orellana won the International Farinelli Prize, competing against other renowned international singers…
